Cathy

has always been interested in cutting and styling hair, whether that be that of two legged or four legged friends! She started as a hairdresser in the mid 70’s when everyone wanted a curly perm or a Dorothy Hamill haircut, and then moved over to the computer programming field for over 30 years. While a busy programmer, she followed her passion for dogs and teaching by opening her own dog grooming school in Orange.  Despite retiring from programming and running her own grooming school, she keeps busy breeding, showing her three Portuguese water dogs!

After marrying and having 3 children I got my first Portuguese water dog choosing this breed because they are non- shedding and hypoallergenic  and one of my sons had severe asthma. When I had the dog groomed several times I realized I could probably do a better job myself.   I did and decided to go to grooming school.
